Get Out of My Head
A common mantra of our marriage...how do we read each other's thoughts so well?

Cameron Turned Four!
This year my cute boy gave me my most detailed cake request so far. He wanted "colory cake from Target" (he saw a tie dye box cake mix in December and has been fixated since then). On it he wanted rainbow frosting and sprinkles. So we made it happen! It turned out to be surprisingly delicious. Well done Cameron.
We had a very normal day with birthday perks sprinkled in wherever possible. Then we had family birthday dinner at Chick-Fil-A complete with presents and cake right in the restaurant. We're fancy.
The real birthday present will come in a couple of weeks when Grandma Garner comes to visit and we spend a day at Disneyland! That will make four out of four birthdays at Disneyland for Cameron. Sweet!

Eleven Months
Eleven months old.
Look what I can do!
Eleven.
And this photo because he always eats the numbers.
Before I know it you'll be driving for real.
Little boy, you're growing too fast for this mama!
Happy eleven months Emmett!

Holiday-ness
I've been in a fight with my computer. I finally got my pictures! Victory! Now it's time for a quick sum up of our holiday fun.
Mom and dad came to visit!
Mom stayed with us for a couple of days and then we met dad at Hard Rock Cafe at Universal Studios. They came to California to celebrate their anniversary and we're lucky we got to join in the fun.
A neighborhood near us goes all out at Christmas time and we visited these streets three times. The favorite is a house that has "snow". Shelby and Cameron couldn't get enough.
It was a great holiday season. Happy 2016!

Shelby and Cameron cared most about the escalator rides. So many huge escalators, so little time.
Cameron's preschool Christmas party was super cute. There was a special guest.
We all had a chance to make gingerbread houses this year. Fun!
Heather, Tom, and Emmett - at a gingerbread house contest (we didn't win!)
Cameron - at First Five
Shelby - at school

We went to Mt. Baldy to try the tubing park. Everyone kept joking about how small it is and how little snow is there. It's true! There was enough snow for snowball fights, snowmen, and snow angels and the tubing park was just fine. I'm glad we could deliver on our promise to find California snow this year.
Christmas morning finally came!
Tom asked for a computer game and I didn't know how to make the download-only gift exciting. So I wrapped the computer!
We broke in the hiking backpack on a family hike in Newbury Park and I loved spending time with these amazing people.
We had tons of fun ringing in the new year. We met friends at Cafe Rio in the evening and saw some Christmas lights. Then we had a party at our house for (east coast) new year complete with hats and headbands, balloons, confetti, and fizzy wizzy juice. Add to that the roaring fire Tom built and s'mores and it was perfect.
It was a great holiday season. Happy 2016!

Ten Months

Happy ten months Emmett!
This boy is still so sweet. A few things:
- He has four teeth
- He loves to eat, especially Cheerios, avocado, and bananas
- He's still nursing - my longest nurser yet
- He recently switched from army crawling to crawling on his knees
- He pulls up and creeps around a bunch, but not interested in walking yet
- He says mama, dada, baba (food!), and I swear he's working on I love you
- He's adorable!
